But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.                     To Him be glory both now and forever!  Amen

2 Peter 3:18

Here you will find information concerning our church and its ministries. We hope you find your time spent here a blessing. Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about our fellowship.

If you are considering a new place of worship or a relocation to our area, we would love to have you be our guest.

Lacey Chapel is an Independent Bible church that believes in the historic doctrines of the faith. In light of that belief our desire is to teach the Bible accurately, while encouraging each other in the faith, and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world which surrounds us. We believe the Bible is God's word. It reveals God, His gracious gift of eternal life through the death of His Son, the wonderful blessings that God has given to believers, how to live the Christian life, our future hope in Christ, and many other essential biblical truths.

We believe Jesus Christ is the God-Man, who paid mankind's full penalty for sin when He died on the cross of Calvary. Any person, who in simple faith (faith alone in Christ alone), trusts in the resurrected Jesus as his or her only hope of heaven, refusing to trust in anything else, receives the gift of eternal life, which, once given, can never be lost.

Our services center on the teaching of the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures. Our Sunday School classes include verse by verse studies of the Word and other doctrinal issues. Our beliefs about the future times include the Pre-tribulation Rapture of the church and the Premillennial return of Jesus Christ. We believe in dispensational theology. We believe that diligent study of God's Word enables believers to live holy lives.

  • Book of Matthew Study

What does the book of Matthew teach us?

As the first gospel, the book of Matthew is a bridge between the Old Testament and the New. It presents Jesus as the Messiah predicted in the Old Testament, but also as the Savior whose death was necessary for the salvation of mankind. Yet Matthew also describes the future Kingdom of Jesus when He will reign on earth at His Second Coming. Jesus says, "You are the salt of the earth . . . You are the light of the world." Matthew 5:13-14 The world tries to define us in different ways. We try to define ourselves one way or another. But who are we really? How does God define us? The Gospel of Matthew was written to a group of Christians who didn’t yet know who they were. They were faithful Jews in the synagogue community in Galilee who had found the Messiah. Jesus had changed everything. But how should they think of themselves now, as Jewish or Christian? What did it all mean? Matthew writes his Gospel to help his readers define their new identity as followers of Jesus the Messiah. This sermon series on the gospel of Matthew’s will focus on the Jewish background of the coming kingdom of God. It will help the 21st century believer understand their new identity in Christ.
